These unique vessels are handmade in Italy and hand painted in the UK. They have been traditionally used in Italy for over 2,000 years and their hand-thrown design has remained unchanged. The British Museum houses examples of these ancient money pots.
Your wishes and dreams start when you first get your money pot. On the small enclosed card you will record your wish and the date, then drop it in the pot with the first silver coin. Once that first coin is dropped in, your money pot must be fed until it is full. At that time you will smash it while making a wish. Or, you may leaver the top of the pot carefully and it will come off. Then you may sand any sharp bits out and use the pot to put sweets, pens or a plant in. It is customary to replace the money pot and spend the money on 'good things', as they bring good fortune in life and love. This is one Italian tradition we're delighted to bring to you.
