Crap Cars is a window into the vanity and silliness of almost any decade as expressed through that ultimate of status symbols.
Traveling from the 1960's to the 90's, this book showcases the cheapest, the tackiest, and the most mechanically inept, including cars made by companies like Porsche and BMW that should have known better. There's also the blobby Merkur Scorpio, the ungainly Roll-Royce Camargu and the flammable Renault Fuego. Richard Porter, a crap car expert, sees straight through all the pimped-out-body-work to the true lemon that lies underneath.

Cruising a Rusty Memory Lane
Posted by Steve on 8th Jun 2010
I love this book. My first car is the 16th crappiest ever built (Chevy Citation) and I was driving the 25th crappiest car when I met my wife (VW Fox). It's a fun read that left me with many laugh out loud moments such as "If the Chevy Vega was only a little bit rusty, it was still on the production line." Great gift for any car lover.

An excellent gift for any guy who has owned any car in the last 30 years. Chances are you can find a car you or your buddy owned in this book. A great mix of truth and wit!
