When I first saw these whimsical gypsy garden goodies at the gift show this past January I couldn’t wait for spring to come so I could create my own fairy land!

I love the creativity and endless options of containers you can use to create these magical vignettes.  You could make something small to go on your front porch or have fun with a larger display on your back deck.  And what a fun activity to do with your little ones too!

I’m happy to say we’ve set up sweet fairy land shops at all our locations so you can come pick & choose what goodies you would like in your garden.  And since we have a large courtyard at our Ann Arbor location, we transformed an old wheel barrow into a pretty purple fairy world.

Our halls have been decked and the trees are full of snowmen, santas and more.  With so many cute ornaments to choose from, it’s hard to pick just one, but here are a few team firefly wants to take home.  (available at our Rochester & Berkley locations)

Snowmen always make me smile. I love their cute little carrot nose and top hat and like snowflakes, no two are ever alike! I’ve lost count on how many jolly snowmen are on my Christmas tree so here’s to adding another one! $4.95

I love all the gingerbread ornaments, they look so real!  My favorite is the snowflake, it looks good enough to eat! $4.95

I’ve often been told that I might be part reptile since I always seem to be cold.  On any fall, winter, spring & sometimes even summer day you will most likely find me working at my desk with a jacket or down vest on.  In addition to sporting outerwear all day long, I also enjoy keeping cozy by wearing a scarf.  This season it’s been fairly hard to resist taking home a handful stylish scarves every time I stop by the store.  See why….

Polka-dots of all kinds rank pretty high in my book.

But then again, solids are a strong second because they can go with almost any outfit.

Meet Lori Strickland of Tallahassee, Florida.  She is the clever creator behind sterling silver jewlery & pewter pets that tell a story. 

Natural themes with a contemporary twist give Lori’s art wares a very distinctive look.  The inspiration comes from the faith and spirit that her Grandmother embodied.  As a child she learned through her that creating things nurtures your soul, connects you to God,  the creator, and brings joy to others. Because her grandmother, she name her company, Lucina K, after her in a tribute to the creativity she lived.

Each of Lori’s pieces begin by making a small sculpture in wax.  Using the ancient method of lost wax casting, the pieces are faithfully reproduced to the finest of detail; bringing to life the wax sculpture in the brilliance of Silver, the metal of the ages, or in tarnish free pewter.
